Terms of Service

Last updated 3 October 2026

Draft. These terms are a draft for Tia to finalise before release. Bracketed items are open.

These terms are between you and Iron Code Studios ("we", "us") for Socialish (the app) and this website. By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not, please do not use them.

1. What Socialish is, and is not

Socialish teaches social skills through short lessons based on published research, written by a counsellor. It is education and practice. It is not therapy, counselling, medical advice or a diagnosis, and it does not replace a professional. Do not delay seeking help because of something in the app.

If you are in crisis or may harm yourself or someone else, contact emergency services (000 in Australia, 911 in the US, 999 in the UK) or a crisis line such as Lifeline (13 11 14, Australia), 988 (US) or Samaritans (116 123, UK).

2. Using the app

3. Accounts

You can use the app without an account. Signing in with Apple is optional and links your progress to your Apple Account. You can delete your data at any time (see Delete your account).

4. Subscriptions

5. Our content

The lessons, writing, artwork and design are ours or licensed to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them in the app. Research summarised in the app belongs to its authors and publishers, and we link to it.

6. Your content

Reflections and notes you write belong to you and stay on your device. We do not receive them. If you send us feedback, you let us use it to improve the app without owing you anything.

7. Accuracy

We try to describe studies accurately and say what they can and cannot show. Research changes, and results from a study may not apply to you. The app's scores and profile types are for self-reflection, not a clinical measure.

8. Apple

If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's standard licensed application end user licence agreement also applies. Apple is not responsible for the app, its support, or any claim about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

9. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or end features, or the app, and update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you in the app or by email if we have your address.

10. Limits on our liability

The app is provided "as is" as far as the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on the app. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including consumer guarantees. [Liability cap: Tia to set.]

11. Ending

You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend access if you break these terms. Sections that by nature should continue will.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Western Australia, Australia, to confirm], and you agree to the courts of that place, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
